Purple Fridays
A Club-wide initiative to raise awareness of domestic violence and promote respectful relationships. Beginning in May, staff will wear purple polo shirts every Friday as a visible show of support for survivors and a stand against violence.
Purple, a symbol of strength, courage, and dignity, represents our commitment to breaking the silence around domestic violence and standing in solidarity with those affected.
This initiative strengthens our ongoing partnership with Biyani House – Revesby Women’s Shelter, the only refuge in the Canterbury-Bankstown LGA offering critical support to women and children fleeing abuse.
With domestic violence reports in the LGA rising by 17.1% over the past two years, and a staggering 45% of women and children seeking homelessness services citing abuse as the cause, now is the time to act.
Say NO to Violence. Say YES to Respectful Relationships. Let’s make a difference—together.
